Vail has a wide variety of activities for the whole family. 

Mountain Biking:   Vail is an amazing location for mountain biking. Miles of scenic trails are accesible on Vail via the Eagle Bahn and Gondola One - and the adventurous can always ride up the mountain. With plenty of trails for every type of bike rider, Vail offers adventure, challenge, and enjoyment for families, first timers, experts, and everyone in between.

Road Biking. Vail is home to all levels of Mountain biking and Road biking trails.  For an easy to moderate road ride, a paved path runs along the banks of Gore Creek in Vail and stretches through the Vail Valley

Hike Vail Mountain Via Gondola Trails. Vail Mountain is a great place to enjoy a hike, with trails starting from the base areas and trails starting from the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola.

Vail Golf Club. Celebrating 46 years of golf in the Vail Valley. Nestled at the base of the Gore Mountain Range in the Rocky Mountains and , this Vail golf course presents golfers with a unique 18-hole, par 71 experience at 8,200 feet elevation.

Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum.  Come enjoy interactive exhibits illustrating the history of Vail, skiing and snowboarding, and the 10th Mountain Division. The museum is open daily in the summer from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located in the upper level of the Vail Village parking structure.

Adventure Ridge.  Located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, Adventure Ridge at Vail has fun activities for all ages at over 10,000 ft! Enjoy activities like climbing, disc golf, and tubing, or just take in the views while eating BBQ on Talon's Deck.

Hiking.    Grab a local hiking book (Vail Hiker is a popular one you can find in almost any bookstore) and start exploring.  Vail has some of the prettiest hikes in Colorado.  Enjoy! 

In & Around the Town of Vail

Rafting and Kayaking.   Vail has it's own own Whitewater Park in the center of the village.  You can also access all levels of rafting and kayaking on the Eagle, Colorado and Arkansas rivers.  

Fly Fishing.  Vail offers unique and rewarding opportunities for anglers young and old. Consider a free fly-casting clinic in the heart of Vail Village, hike to a pristine alpine lake and try your luck, wade into a Gold Medal stream, or floating one of several scenic rivers into the remote wilderness.

Vail Nature Center.  A log cabin perched between an alpine meadow and the forested bank of Gore Creek houses the Vail Nature Center. This seven-acre facility, in the heart of Vail, is a tranquil gem whose knowledgeable staff hosts informative bird, wildflower and beaver pond hikes, as well as the Vail Hiking Club

Tennis.  Vail is home to numerous tennis facilities. Hit the court for some exercise or take lessons from a tennis professional!

Vail Valley Music Festival.  The glorious sounds of orchestral and chamber music will once again fill the air of the majestic Rocky Mountains this summer. Celebrating 20 years, Bravo brings over 40 acclaimed soloists, ensembles and three outstanding resident orchestras - the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.

Hot Summer Nights Concert Series.  Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheater in Vail. Come outdoors for the rockin' social event of the season with hot bands in a casual, up-beat setting. All for free! 

Vail Jazz Festival.  This event features the world's greatest jazz musicians in over twenty-four hours of music over Labor Day Weekend.
